There are literally hundreds of reasons to support the planned renovations at Woodstock Hospice Home. 809 reasons, to be exact. That’s the number of McHenry County residents who turned to Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois for services and support in 2010.
Another 2,516 family and community members in McHenry County were grateful for our grief counseling services. And 256 patients were admitted to the Woodstock Hospice Home for inpatient services.
HPNI provided $217, 625 in charitable and supplemental care to McHenry County families in 2010. But we can’t do it alone.

Renovations Will Benefit Patients, Families and Staff
By supporting the Woodstock Hospice Home Campaign for Comfort & Care, you’ll help bring much needed renovations to our inpatient unit in McHenry County. The results will be a much more home-like environment that will benefit patients, families and staff alike.
Improvements to Patient Rooms
- Wall-mounted televisions, DVD players and universal remotes
- Cordless phones and under-counter refrigerators
- New window coverings to maximize natural light
- Sleeper sofas for family members to stay with their loved ones overnight
Improvements to Common Areas
- Reconfigured reception area for better patient/family interaction with nurses and staff
- Combination family room/kitchen area for use by patients & families
- Upgraded children’s area for enhanced family interaction
- Softer, more home-like lighting to replace fluorescents in hallways
- Sound system in hallways to broadcast soothing music
