Dr. Tracey Hashemi Joins HPNI

Tracey Hashemi, MD, has been named Medical Director for HPNI’s 16-bed inpatient care program at the Pepper Family Hospice Home in Barrington, Illinois. She will also continue her role leading HPNI’s Home Team, as she has done for the past two years.

“I am excited about the enthusiasm, passion for hospice, excellent medical skills and upbeat personality Dr. Hashemi will bring to the program”, exclaimed Cindy Musikantow, CEO and President of HPNI.

Dr. Hashemi is board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care.  She has been an attending physician at hospitals such as Northwest Community, Little Company of Mary and others. Prior to joining HPNI, she was a medical director at Family Hospice.

“End of life care is challenging in the ER, and there’s so much we can do for patients outside of the hospital,” says Dr. Hashemi. “We have the ability to make the end of life comfortable and peaceful.”
