Barrington Duck Race Set Rain or Shine
The 18th Annual Barrington Duck Race and Pool Party will be held rain or shine this weekend at Langendorf Park. Bring a friend and join in the fun as you support hospice programs and services. Enjoy an early evening with DJ music and activities, face painting, carnival style games, food and drinks, swimming and many other children’s activities, including our Duck Races and raffle drawings with more than 150 prizes being awarded to winners of all ages.
Proceeds from the event will support the agency’s children’s care programs and the development of new services.
This popular special event will be held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Aqualusion Aquatic Center in Langendorf Park, 235 Lions Dr., Barrington. In case of rain with lightning, all activities will be held inside the pool house gym.
Admission is free. Ducks may be purchased online and at the event. All duck purchasers will be entered into a drawing for an iPod Touch. Online duck purchases will be accepted through 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. To purchase ducks or raffle tickets or for more information, visit the website, or contact Michelle Sacchitello, 224-770-2415.
