A Grand Reopening

The Inpatient Hospice Home in Woodstock

Join Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois (HPNI) in celebrating the grand re-opening and ribbon cutting of the Inpatient Hospice Home in Woodstock. There will be a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. featuring Dr. Brian Sager, mayor of Woodstock, and Hal Stinespring, president of the Hospice Foundation Board of Trustees.

Friday, January 6, 2012
10:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.

The facility is located at:
Centegra Specialty Hospital
527 W. South Street, Woodstock, IL

Thanks to support from the Hospice Foundation of Northeastern Illinois’ Woodstock Hospice Home Campaign for Comfort and Care, the inpatient unit has benefited from extensive renovations, creating a much more home-like environment for patients, families and staff.

Improvements include:

Patient Rooms:

  • Ceiling fans and flat screen televisions in every room
  • Upgraded window treatments to allow more natural light
  • Pullout sofa beds so family members can comfortably stay overnight

Common Areas:

  • A great room and kitchen for use by the patients’ families
  • A fully equipped kitchen so patients can enjoy their favorite home-cooked meals with their loved ones
  • A larger and more open nurses’ station, designed to encourage greater interaction among family members and staff
  • A private kitchen/gathering area for staff members to enjoy a quiet meal, or take time to decompress

HPNI staff and volunteers will be on hand for guided tours and to answer questions. For more information, contact Michelle Sacchitello at 224-770-2415 or email rsvp@hospiceanswers.org.
