We’re Off to the Races!

The HPNI Duck Races and Pool Parties are just around the bend. Join the fun 4-7 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at Woodstock Water Works and Aug. 4, at Langendorf Park in Barrington.

This annual free event is overflowing with family fun activities from carnival-style games, face painting, hair braiding, DJ music and contests, swimming, coloring contest, a visit by Mr. Duck, and of course, the famous duck races. More than 150 prizes will be awarded.

What’s a Duck Race?
At the HPNI duck races, hundreds of colorful little plastic ducks careen down big water slides to the waiting arms of race officials who pluck the winning quackers out of the water. As a fund-raising event supporting HPNI’s children’s care services, participants have a chance to win prizes by “adopting” (purchasing) ducks with the hope that they win in any of the several races. The ducks are numbered and winners announced after the races. Our ducks are very affordable:

One Duck — $5
Family of 6 — $25
Flock of 25 — $100
To purchase ducks or raffle tickets, visit HospiceDuckRace.com, or contact Michelle Sacchitello or 224-770-2415. Ducks may also be purchased on site at the events.
