For Healthcare Professionals
Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois is proud to a leader in educating professionals and the public about quality end-of-life care. We strive to create and sustain a “learning organization” for ourselves, patients, families, healthcare professionals and communities.
Since 1984, our team of compassionate professionals have provided responsive medical, emotional and spiritual support to patients in need. We understand that we can best support our patients and their families by also supporting the persons who serve them, like you, the medical and nursing professional. Whether you are directly involved in the delivery of medical care, or have patients who find themselves coping with a serious illness, or even issues of grief from the death of a loved one, we can work together to help these families during a vulnerable life passage.
If you have a patient who is having a little difficulty coming to terms with their prognosis, or the concept of hospice care, we are available to help participate in that discussion either in the hospital, at your office or in their home. Our licensed, professional counselors are available to help in any way as well.
Through the Education Center at Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, we provide educational and informational opportunities for our partners in care, such as:
- Continuing Education courses
- Healthcare symposiums
- Residency rotations and internships
- Advance care planning instruction
- Speakers bureau
- Publication and e-link resources
In addition, our staff may be reached at 847-381-5599 to answer questions and consult on training issues as needed.
