Grief Support

Our care continues for the family...

Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois provides grief support to adults and children through its Center for Care.

The Center for Care offers one of the state's most comprehensive bereavement programs. Highly trained professionals, including licensed clinical professional counselors, provide support and therapy to families of Hospice patients, as well as to all members of the community.

Family members may receive support from our bereavement staff for up to 13 months after a loss, through:

  • Grief assessment
  • Phone and/or email contact at regular intervals after a loss
  • Education about the grief process and coping skills
  • Memorial services
