Help Support Ongoing Hospice Programs and Operations

Your gift to Hospice Foundation of Northeastern Illinois supports so much for those who need it. Consider how kind gift can benefit:

  • Care for uninsured or underinsured individuals so no one who seeks care at Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois is ever turned away due to lack of funds or access to insurance.
  • Community education to increase awareness about the benefits of hospice care.
  • Continuing education opportunities for hospice staff to enhance their knowledge of end-of-life care.
  • Granting a Wish, coordinates care and resources needed to meet final goals.
  • Grief support services for hospice families and the community at-large. Through its Center for Care, Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois offers a variety of grief support services, including individual and group therapy, for those who are coping with a loss. In addition, our Camp Courage summer day camp for grieving children has been providing the support and care these children need for 15 years in a fun and unique environment.
  • Hope's Friends and Hope's Circle of Friends pediatric palliative support and hospice care for children age birth to18 who have life-limiting illnesses, as well as those medically frail children with chronic conditions who are living in long-term care facilities.
  • Hospice Care Regular visits in the home (retirement community, hospital, nursing home or residence) for pain control, comfort and support at the end of life.
  • Supplemental care funding for medical equipment and other expenses not typically covered by insurance.
  • Inpatient Unit in Woodstock, the region’s first inpatient hospice unit, which, through a partnership with Centegra Health system, provides a homelike environment for acute symptom management and caregiver breakdown situations.
  • Integrative therapies, including art, massage, music, pet and Reiki, for patients and their families. These therapies are part of the holistic healing approach of hospice care.
    • Latino Outreach, supporting our Hispanic community and their cultural traditions with spanish-speaking staff, and spanish-language materials.
  • Palliative Care, pain and symptom management, care coordination for the chronically ill.
  • Veteran's Care bringing specialized support from social workers and veteran volunteers to those who have served our country.
  • Volunteer support, which includes visits at all times of the day and night, is so valuable to patients and their families.
