McHenry County Duck Race & Pool Party

Location: Woodstock Water Works-Emrickson Park, Woodstock, IL. *Inclement weather location, see below.

Join in the fun and support Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois at the 2nd annual Duck Race & Pool Party to benefit Hospice’s patient care programs and the development of new services. Enjoy an evening out at the pool with swimming, food, DJ music, face painting and many other children’s activities. All-American grilled fare will be provided on site, along with yummy ice cream. Come watch thousands of ducks zoom down the water slides toward the finish line where over 100 prizes, including a grand prize Family Fun package worth over $500, will be awarded to “duck owners” of all ages. Admittance to the event is free! Adopt ducks for the race and win prizes!

ONLINE PURCHASING OF DUCKS FOR THE MC HENRY RACES CONCLUDED AT NOON ON SATURDAY, JULY 31. DUCKS MAY STILL BE PURCHASED IN PERSON AT THE RACE.
*IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER WITH LIGHTNING: Event will be held at Woodstock Recreation Center, 820 Lake Ave., Woodstock.
Regulations:
1. Ducks are available by advance adoption beginning mid-April and until 5 p.m. on day of race (online purchases conclude at noon on day of race).
2. A person under the age of 18 years may adopt a duck with a parent or guardian’s permission.
3. The event is subject to all federal, state and local laws, and is void where prohibited by law.
4. Only ducks provided by Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois will be allowed in the race. Ducks remain the property of Hospice.
5. Quackers will be released into the pool in heats and the finish line will be clearly marked.
6. The VID race will take place at the Barrington Duck Race event. All VID Ducks will be released into the pool at the same time and the finish line will be clearly marked.
7. No cash-equivalent prizes will be provided in lieu of the designated prizes.
8. The conduct of the race and the determination of the winners will be audited and verified.
9. In the event of inclement weather, or other uncontrollable factors, the race will not be held. A drawing for each of the prizes will be held with the numbered ducks adopted prior to the event.
10. Entrants need not be present to win. All prize winners will be announced at the race and notified by mail and/or phone. All prizes must be picked up at the Hospice office in Barrington within 30 days of the race.
11. In accordance with law, no purchase or donation is necessary to participate in the Duck Race; however, since the Duck Race is a charitable event for Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, free entry tickets defeat the charitable purpose.
