About Us

Experienced, Professional Hospice Care In Northern Illinois

Since 1982, Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois (HPNI) has provided compassionate end-of-life care to residents in northern Illinois facing terminal illness or life-limiting conditions. We are here to help when you need it most. We can help you—or someone you love—feel comfortable and safe. We begin by listening and answering your questions. We know that your experience is personal —so is our care. We’ll provide you with the physical, emotional and spiritual support you need to welcome each new day.

When serious illness is diagnosed, there is still a lot of living to do. HPNI can help you do the things that are most important to you. Your doctor may discuss hospice care with you. However, you can also call us at 224-770-2489 to get more information on how hospice can help. We’ll even call your doctor for you, if you wish.

The final decision to accept hospice is your’s alone, and you can change your mind and discontinue services at any time.

What is your goal for today?

Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois helps patients realize their quality-of-life and end-of-life goals one day at a time through pain and symptom management, compassionate care, specialized therapies and a range of social services.

A community-based, non-profit agency, HPNI serves patients in McHenry, Lake, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Boone, Will, Winnebago, DeKalb and Kendall counties—regardless of their ability to pay.

Given the choice, most of us want to spend our remaining time surrounded by familiar things and the people we love. For most of us, that means home. We come to you—wherever you call home—and provide nursing care, pain management, social services, chaplain visits, volunteer assistance and more. We’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
