Dr. Tracey Hashemi, M.D.
Medical Director, Pepper Family Hospice Home
Tracey Hashemi, M.D., is the Medical Director for HPNI’s 16-bed inpatient care program at the Pepper Family Hospice Home in Barrington, Illinois and HPNI’s Home Team. Dr. Hashemi is board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care. She is currently an attending physician at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. She has also been an attending physician at Little Company of Mary, Holy Cross and St. Elizabeth’s Hospitals. Prior to joining HPNI, she was a medical director at Family Hospice. Dr. Hashemi is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Henry H. Mangurten, M.D., FAAP
Associate Medical Director for Pediatrics
Dr. Mangurten joined our agency to advance our highly successful pediatric programs: Hope’s Friends and Hope’s Circle of Friends. While our pediatric services are already among the largest in Illinois, his addition brings more than 40 years of advocating and supporting pediatric care across our region. Currently, Dr. Mangurten is the Chairman Emeritus for the Department of Pediatrics at Lutheran General Hospital after leading that department for fifteen years. Prior to that position, he was their Director of Neonatology with more than 215 documents published or presented throughout his career; in addition, he has even patented a neonatal blood sample collector. As a leading and highly-respected regional authority on intensive pediatric care, Dr. Mangurten will extend and expand the services for vulnerable children.
Paola Molina, M.D.
Medical Director, Palliative Care
Dr. Molina joined our agency in 2009 after completing her Palliative Medicine Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Board certified in Palliative Medicine, and a member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Molina was one of few physicians in the nation selected for the NIH Fellowship in Palliative Medicine, where she managed some of the most complicated medical cases in our country. Dr. Molina completed an internship at Harvard University Medical School, and was a practicing hospice physician in Columbia. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and maintains dual citizenship.
